Regular Health Examinations
It is important to detect medical problems as early as possible, just as periodic check-ups are wonderfully reassuring if no problem exists. The care which starts with your puppy or kitten can pay extra dividends once your companion becomes geriatric.
During health examinations our veterinarian will:
- Examine eyes, ears, nose, and throat for signs of infection or other abnormalities.
- Listen to the heart and lungs to make sure they sound normal.
- Gently check the abdomen, lymph nodes and joints.
- Thoroughly examine the skin for parasites, infection, or allergy.
- Our Veterinary Technician will examine a stool sample for internal parasites.
Routine wellness exams should be performed at least every 6 months and combined with diagnostic testing to help insure your pets health.
