What is a Cruciate Repair?

The Cruciate is ligament in the knee joint.  This ligament can become torn and is usually  a condition seen in larger dogs, such as Labrador Retrievers.  The dog usually presents with lameness of the affected leg.  This can be corrected with surgery.  The correction consists of surgically placing an artificial ligament in place of the torn one.
